The Accompanist
Hilarious, witchy Sylvia (Sarandon) becomes an unlikely foster parent to 9-year-old Emily (Carganilla), removed from her dementia-stricken grandfather's care after a near-fatal incident.
When 9-year-old Emily (Everly Carganilla) accidentally tells a grownup that her dementia-stricken grandpa almost got them killed, she is taken from him by an inexperienced social worker (Aubrey Plaza) and placed with Sylvia, an emergency foster parent. 70-year-old Sylvia (Susan Sarandon) is hilarious, witchy, and haunted by her past. As the pair grow closer, their dreams and visions magically overlap, and they must overcome their fears and learn to trust each other.
