Edward Burns
The director, actor and novelist presents a new comedy about family, competition and going back to your roots.
Edward Burns is one of the confirmed special guests of Tribeca Festival Lisboa. A director, actor and novelist, Burns has a body of work shaped by stories of community, family and identity, spanning independent film and larger productions.
His link to the festival is Finnegan’s Foursome, a feature he directs, writes and produces. According to Tribeca’s official listing, the film follows two Irish-American brothers and their sons, all competitive golfers, as they return to their homeland to honour their father.
With a body of work built between independent film and television, Burns returns to the family and community stories that run through his career and are also present in his most recent work, The Family McMullen.
