Tribeca Festival Lisboa announces the opening of ticket sales for the three shows presented under Tribeca Music by MEO, a new pillar of its third edition, taking place from 9 to 13 December. The programme brings together two evenings celebrating classical music with Xmas with Mozart and a live cinema and electronic music experience with Moullinex presents: Metropolis by MXGPU.
Marking the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth, Xmas with Mozart takes to the stage of Teatro Tivoli BBVA on 11 and 12 December. The first evening features the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, conducted by Pedro Amaral, followed by the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, under the baton of Pedro Neves, on the second evening. Both events include special live editions of Geração 40 and Geração 80, podcasts from Impresa Group’s «Gerações» series.
On 13 December, Cineteatro Capitólio hosts Moullinex presents: Metropolis by MXGPU, a live performance combining Fritz Lang’s science-fiction classic with electronic music and live performance. The project brings together Moullinex and GPU Panic for a new sonic and visual interpretation of one of the most influential works in cinema history.
With this programme, Tribeca Music by MEO brings together different artistic languages and audiences, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to the intersection of music, cinema and entertainment.
