Lua Vermelha: Nova Geração

In January 2010, the series premiered that would change the landscape of young adult fiction in Portugal and launch a new generation of talent. A vampire series that explores the world of the fantastic, blending action and romance, and even anticipating an international trend – The Vampire Diaries wouldn’t premiere until more than a year later.

In 2024, the series returns to streaming – airing simultaneously on SIC K and OPTO, after already having been on Netflix in 2015. Lua Vermelha stayed for months at the top of Prime Video, reaching a whole new young audience, proving that an original, well-told story never ages… just like vampires.

The new season of Lua Vermelha brings back some familiar characters and remains coherent with the past storyline, but introduces a new adventure, new characters, and expands the fantasy universe. Lua Vermelha 2 is a story about discovering one’s identity during adolescence, about the importance of accepting others’ differences, and how friendship and unity can transform the world.
